A commitment to innovation and sustainability

The 2030 Challenge

Along with the American Institute of Architects, Woods Architecture has made a firm-wide commitment to the 2030 Challenge — a resolution to reduce the carbon emissions of all our projects to zero by 2030. This is not just a target. It is a promise to our clients, our communities and our planet.

Woods Architecture is at the forefront of our industry in LEED-related programmes. We take a comprehensive, integrated design approach to sustainability – recognising that it is not only about energy efficiency, but also about minimising site disturbance, encouraging alternative transportation, efficient material and resource use, improving interior air quality and reducing water consumption.

Our design teams assess life-cycle costs to determine the most cost-effective and sustainable solutions, and have extensive experience in specifying sustainable approaches that deliver maximum value over the lifetime of a facility.
